About YG Family:
YG Family is basically the collective name for those under YG Entertainment, a Korean company under Yang Hyunsuk a.k.a. YangGoon (YG himself, former member of Seo Taiji and Boys). YG Ent began in 1996 as "Hyun Entertainment", and got its current name in 1998. The "YG Family" however was not formed until 1999, with the concept of bringing different musicians together for Hiphop music. It is the first and most successful hiphop family in Korea. Although the company extends to different types of music, the YG Family is focused mostly on urban music.
